Monsoon Flood Preparedness & Community Relief in Diara Region
Providing emergency relief packages, water purification supplies, dry rations, and emergency medical kits to vulnerable families in flood-prone riverine tracts of Bihar.
Campaign Overview & Story
Each year during the monsoon season, low-lying riverine settlements (diara tracts) along the Ganges and adjacent rivers face sudden, severe water level surges that isolate villages, damage crops, and cut off access to food and potable water.
Diara Charitable Trust’s Flood Preparedness and Relief Campaign is dedicated to pre-positioning essential relief materials and providing immediate humanitarian support when high waters strike. Every contribution directly funds emergency dry food kits, halogen water tablets, basic medical supplies, and temporary shelter tarpaulins.
Your donation is handled with complete transparency, and donors receive immediate transaction confirmation and receipts.
How Funds Are Utilized
- ✓ Direct Relief & Supplies: Purchasing non-perishable food grains, emergency tarpaulins, chlorine water tablets, and medicine kits.
- ✓ Field Deployment & Transport: Reaching remote, waterlogged riverine localities in Bihar via boats and local transport.
- ✓ Post-Disaster Rehabilitation: Helping families rebuild damaged thatched shelters and assisting children with replacement books.
